Evolution Of Computer Networks From Time To Time

Evolution Of Computer Networks – Computer networks combine several independent students of science and engineering such as telecommunications, computer science, information technology and/or computer engineering. Computers are interconnected mainly through telecommunications. Telecommunications, in turn, can run it using a computer and in wired and wireless mode. To achieve the accuracy of technology from sophisticated devices, including computers, which use it in building efficient computer networks, information technology, and computer science have become drivers.Evolution Of Computer Networks

Chronology

Even before the nineteenth century, they saw visual signs of using it in tissues. You can do communication between calculating machines by giving instructions manually. The development of computer networks today can be traced back to the middle of the past century. Chronologically, you can describe it as follows:

September 1940 – Use of a teletype machine by George Stibitz to send instructions for a problem set from his Model at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire to his Complex Number Calculator in New York and receive the returns.

August 1962 – Computer scientist J.C.R. Licklider from Bolt, Beranek and Newman Company formulated and published the concept of connecting output systems such as teletype to computers to build “Intergalactic Computer Networks”.

October 1963 – Advanced Project Research Agency (ARPA) hires J.C.R. Licklider to design and develop the Network of Advanced Research Projects (ARPANET) for the benefit of the United States Department of Defense to share resources and information.

1964 – Researchers develop the Dartmouth Time-Sharing System for separate computer systems in Dartmouth. In the same year, a group of researchers at MIT managed to direct and manage telephones using computers. General Electric and Bell Labs supported this project.

1965 – Lawrence G. Roberts and Thomas Merrill succeeded in creating the first wide area network (WAN). Therefore, In the same year, the first PSTN (Public Switched Network) switch to use introduced it by Western Electric. Then, That is important because it uses the right computer controls for networking for the first time in history.

Stanford Research Institute

November 1969 – Their first permanent ARPANET link made it between the Messaging Processor (IMP). Therefore, the interface at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and IMP at the Stanford Research Institute.

December 1969 – The entire four-node network with the University of California, Santa Barbara, UCLA, Stanford Research Institute, and the University of Utah Computer Science Department at each node are connected.

1972 – Commercial services use X.25 they deploy and then they use as basic infrastructure to expand the network of Transmission Control Protocols / Internet Protocols.

1989 – Timothy Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web at the European Particle Physics Laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland.

Continuous efforts to connect through computer networks and also communicate between them. The technology has evolved through the augmentation of the hardware, software, and computer peripheral industries. As a result, the scope of communication has multiplied. In other words, Such developments cannot happen without progress in computer networks.
