About Computer Maintenance
About Computer Maintenance – Today, computers have become a very important part of our lives. Be it home or business, computers are part of our daily lives. From young children to older people, almost everyone knows how to operate a computer or wants to learn how.
There are businesses that survive only on the use of their computers and if you take their computers, that’s the end of their business. Then there are other that use computers to increase their productivity and perform various tasks efficiently.
Most of us have important documents and files stored on our computers and are afraid of losing them if something happens to the computer.
Apart from all this, there are very few people who really maintain their computers. Computer is a machine. And, like every machine, they need to be treated. If not treated, the computer’s performance will be greatly reduced and errors begin to appear in places that should not have happened. It might even completely stop working! That’s why it’s very important to maintain your computer regularly.
Hardware And Software
The computer has two types of parts: hardware and software. Both of these parts need to be cared for properly.
Hardware is a physical part of a computer such as a cabinet (a box where parts such as the motherboard, CPU, hard disk, CD drive, etc., are located), keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc. The two main problems facing hardware are that
A. The hardware part has been widely used and has passed its lifetime.
B. You don’t clean the hardware regularly and have collected a lot of dirt and dust.
For the two reasons above, the computer can slow down or stop functioning simultaneously.
This software is a collection of computer programs and related data that tells the computer what to do and how to do it. As you might understand, if the software is damaged, it cannot tell the computer what to do which results in many errors and causes a computer slowdown. Common problems that usually deal with the software are registry swelling, virus infections, and malware.
Let’s start with hardware maintenance. Do not allow dust to accumulate on the hardware, especially in the cabinet. The cabinet contains a CPU which is the heart of the computer. There is a cooling fan to cool the CPU when it warms up. The fan collects dust very quickly. So it’s important to keep the fan clean. It is also important to keep the motherboard clean because the motherboard connects each device to the computer. But, be careful when you clean the cabinet so that you do not accidentally damage any part of it.
In terms of software, the 3 main things you need to pay attention to our a registry, viruses, and spyware. Get a good registry cleaner to clean the registry. Also, get good anti-virus and anti-spyware to prevent your computer from being infected by any malware.
